ANALYSIS: A good deal of interest in this novices^ hurdle disappeared after Last But Not Least made a bad mistake at the first which cost her half a dozen lengths.Jim Culloty had already taken the race by the scruff of its neck on GALWAY BLADE who, jumping well although a shade crookedly, was challenged by Again Together three flights out.Verulam made eyecatching headway to threaten the leaders at the bottom bend where Kings Nightclub slipped-up, at which point Galway Blade himself survived a stumble.Culloty was challenged by Verulam approaching the last but last season^s champion amateur conjured a fine leap from his mount who held on in a driving finish.Winning trainer Henrietta Knight enthused: "Whatever this horse has done today he^ll improve on and Jim said he^d be better going right-handed."Verulam ran a fine race in his own right and will not be long in going one better, while Again Together stuck on well even though he was the first beaten of the principals.
